As a painter I really enjoy creating fresh and trendy yet traditional and timeless images. I create these images to make space people live and work in upbeat, optimistic, warm and fun. When people spend time in this environment they go out into the world and spread optimism, warmth and fun. This makes the world a better place.
I like texture and color and I use these qualities consistently. My canvas or wood starts with a well planned design. Next a warm palette of paint is applied. It is a timeless palette with neutrals and warm vibrant colors. The process is a bit like building a house. One layer at a time. My current work is fairly contemporary. I have worked in photography, watercolors, acrylics and oils. I find water based oil to be my favorite medium. Its fast, fresh, creates texture and color I like. Cleaning is easy and makes working on the fly possible. My current collection of art is a sample of floral, landscape and abstract. I plan to add a great deal more art to the collection which will be more abstract and contemporary botanicals and landscapes.
